Terms and Conditions

1. Operator

Walletycs is operated by Alberto Calvo Rubió, an individual based in Spain.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

Users must be at least 18 years old.

Before completing registration and using the financial application, the user must affirmatively accept these Terms and separately confirm that they are at least 18.

Email registration requires those actions before account creation. A third-party sign-in provider may create a restricted provisional identity first, but registration and access to the financial application remain pending until the required declarations are recorded.

Information about acceptance records is provided in Section 3.8 of the Privacy Policy.

3. Service

Walletycs helps users import, create, organize, categorize, and analyze transaction information.

Walletycs:

  • Does not connect directly to banks during the beta
  • Does not request online-banking credentials
  • Does not initiate payments or hold funds
  • Is not a bank, payment provider, accountant, tax adviser, legal adviser, or financial adviser
  • Does not guarantee that imports, exchange rates, categorization, budgets, or analysis are error-free

4. Free public beta

The service is offered as a free public beta. Users are not charged under these beta Terms.

Beta features can be incomplete, contain errors, change, become unavailable, or be discontinued. Walletycs can apply limits to transactions, accounts, categories, tags, AI use, exports, imports, or other features to protect and test the service.

Any future paid service requires separate information and terms before charges begin.

5. Accounts and security

Users must:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Protect credentials and recovery methods
  • Use MFA where available and appropriate
  • Notify info@walletycs.com if unauthorized access is suspected
  • Not share, sell, or transfer the account without permission

Walletycs may revoke sessions, apply rate limits, require verification, or suspend access to protect users and the service.

6. Transaction-file processing

Supported files can include CSV, Excel, and TXT formats.

Application source parses files in the user's browser. The original file is not intentionally uploaded to or stored by Walletycs. Parsed transaction information selected for import is sent to the backend.

Users must understand that:

  • A bank-generated concept can contain information about the transaction or third parties
  • The concept is stored as supplied through the import flow
  • Supported formats, validation rules, duplicate handling, and import limits can change during the beta

7. User-created data

Users can create or configure:

  • Walletycs account aliases
  • Categories, category keywords, budgets, icons, and colors
  • Tags
  • Manual transactions and comments
  • Groups and splits
  • Preferences and analysis settings

Users are responsible for reviewing and maintaining their information.

8. Third-party information

Users must only import or enter information they are entitled to use.

Users must not use Walletycs to unlawfully monitor, expose, profile, or misuse another person's information. Unnecessary third-party identifiers should not be entered or retained.

9. Optional AI categorization

AI categorization is optional and is activated only when requested by the user. The implementation sends the information needed to make a category suggestion through an AI routing service to a configured AI model provider. The original file is not deliberately sent.

The configured AI service uses a primary model provider and an automatic fallback through an AI routing service. The selected models are configured by Walletycs for zero data retention and no training. Provider configuration, retention, and processing location can change and are further described in the Privacy Policy.

AI suggestions can be inaccurate or inappropriate. They are not financial, tax, legal, or accounting advice. The user must review and decide whether to use them.

10. Analytics and device storage

Walletycs uses cookies and browser storage for authentication, MFA, language, interface preferences, and requested navigation behaviour. It also uses cookieless web analytics, which does not read or write analytics cookies or analytics device storage.

The data used for analytics, its 24-hour visitor hash, the 12-month reporting window, and browser controls are described in the Cookies Policy.

11. Acceptable use

Users must not:

  • Access or attempt to access another user's account or data
  • Circumvent limits, authentication, authorization, or security controls
  • Introduce malware or harmful files
  • Attack, overload, scrape, or automate the service in a harmful way
  • Exploit file parsers, APIs, AI prompts, or product functionality
  • Use the service for fraud, unlawful surveillance, money laundering, or other unlawful activity
  • Upload or enter information they have no right to use
  • Reverse engineer protected elements except where mandatory law permits it

12. Export, access, and deletion

The self-service export covers selected preferences and financial-domain data. It is not necessarily the complete response to a legal data-access request. Broader requests can be sent to info@walletycs.com.

Users can request account deletion through the application. Directly linked production records are removed through the account-deletion process, while verification, rate-limit, provider, email, AI feature-usage, log, cache, or backup data can follow separate retention and deletion processes as explained in the Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual property

Walletycs software, design, branding, logo, texts, and product elements are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

The user receives a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the beta service under these Terms.

The user retains rights in information they import or create and grants Walletycs the limited rights necessary to host, process, display, analyze, export, secure, and delete it as part of the service.

14. Availability and changes

Walletycs may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue all or part of the beta for product, technical, operational, legal, or security reasons.

Where reasonably possible, material changes affecting active users will be communicated in advance.

15. Suspension and termination

Walletycs may suspend or terminate an account when the user breaches these Terms, creates a security risk, abuses the service, or uses it unlawfully.

The user may stop using Walletycs and request account deletion at any time.

16. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the beta is provided on an as-is and as-available basis.

Walletycs does not exclude or limit liability where prohibited by mandatory law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to mandatory consumer law, the operator is not responsible for:

  • Decisions made using categorization, analytics, budgets, exchange rates, or AI suggestions
  • Errors in files supplied by the user or generated by a bank
  • Indirect loss, loss of profit, business interruption, or loss caused by reliance on beta functionality
  • Events outside reasonable control

Because the beta is free, no liability cap based on fees paid is stated. Liability remains subject to applicable mandatory law and proof of direct loss.

17. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that consumers cannot waive under applicable law, including mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence.

18. Transfer to a successor

The service and related rights and obligations may be transferred to a successor that continues operating Walletycs. Users will be informed of a material change in operator or controller before it takes effect where required.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Spanish law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of habitual residence.

Courts are determined by applicable mandatory consumer and jurisdiction rules.

20. Contact

Questions can be sent to info@walletycs.com.
